The Opportunity

Employment Type: Temporary Full Time ( 7 weeks) 

FTE: 1.0

Bi-Weekly Hours: 70

Hourly Rate of Pay: $21.83

Location: Millwood’s\ Eden House

Reporting to the Program Manager (Rehab), the Rehab Aide provides Occupational or Physical Therapy services to assigned residents under the direction of the Program Manager (Rehab), Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist. Rehab Assistant provides support, advocacy, and choice to Residents and their families to ensure the highest quality of person centered care achievable. Demonstrates ongoing competence utilizing knowledge, skill, judgment and evidence based practice in caring for the older adult. Ensures compliance with continuing care health service standards, employment and safety-related statutes, legislation, codes and regulations and SCF policies.

Consider applying if you are currently enrolled in Diploma in Rehabilitation therapy or equivalent; can read, write, and speak English effectively; and have strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Canada Summer Job Grant Youth Requirements

  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and;
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
