Shepherd's Care Millwoods, the first Shepherd’s Care location, is conveniently located in southeast, providing a full range of age in place options. The Campus is inclusive and diverse, including a large German speaking community of residents. Shepherd's Care Millwoods has a vibrant Christian atmosphere and friendly, long term staff.

Our spacious, secured garden area is accessible by the all Campus residents. The garden includes apple trees, a walking path, flowers and vegetable plots.

Shepherd's Care Millwoods is situated near the Millwoods Recreation Centre, churches, parks, shopping centres and the Grey Nuns hospital. Located near major thoroughfares and on a bus route, the Campus is easily accessible for both residents and families.

Continuing Care Home Type A (formerly complex care and long term care) is a great option for those who are unable to stay at home or in CCH-Type B, often because of complex or unpredictable needs and require monitored care. Care is monitored by a Registered Nurse (RN).

Shepherd's Care Millwoods is home to 147 CCH-Type A units. These units are connected to all other buildings, allowing for easy access to the whole campus. We offer private and semi-private options.

Admission to CCH-Type A units is only through assessment by Assisted Living Alberta. Residents pay a government regulated accommodation charge, which covers room and board (three meals per day plus snacks), housekeeping, linen and bedding laundry and some building maintenance costs.

Pastoral care is available to all residents, including weekly interdenominational church services in our on-site chapel, and hymn sings.

Each Tuesday, we offer tours at our CCH-Type A (complex care) unit for interested individuals and families. Please call us for additional information.

Continuing Care Home Type B (formerly supportive living/SL4) allows individuals to enjoy a home-like setting with the comfort of having health care services provided. It is a great option for individuals who may have medical needs that can be managed to maintain a semi-independent lifestyle.

Shepherd's Care Millwoods is home to 46 CCH-Type B units. Admission to these units is only through a health assessment by Assisted Living Alberta. Residents pay a government regulated accommodation charge, which covers room and board (three meals per day plus snacks), housekeeping, linen and bedding laundry and some building maintenance costs.

Each unit is private accommodation with spacious studio and one bedroom options available.

Pastoral care is available to all residents, including weekly interdenominational church services in our on-site chapel, and hymn sings.
