The Opportunity
Permanent Part Time – FTE 0.40 – 31.00 hours bi weekly – Kensington Village Campus
Hourly Rate of Pay: $37.30-$49.65
Reporting to the Program Manager (Rehab), the Physiotherapist (PT) provides overall leadership, coordination and direction in the physical therapy interventions and care of the residents within the Mission, Vision and Values of Shepherd’s Care Foundation and standards of professional practice. As a PT, you will ensure compliance with continuing care health service standards, accommodation standards, employment and safety-related statutes, legislation, codes and regulations, and organizational policies.
You have a recognized degree in Physical Therapy, active registration with the College of Physical Therapists of Alberta (CPTA) plus Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA), and a valid driver’s license. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in geriatrics and continuing care and AADL Authorizer status are preferred.
You have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and can work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team to advocate and promote well-being for residents. Time management skills are essential as is flexibility to accommodate resident needs.
