Supportive Living (SL-4)
The Supportive Living programs (also known as Designated Assisted Living) at Shepherd’s Care are the perfect blend of a home environment combined with 24 hour nursing care.
-
Our Supportive Living locations offer both studio and one bedroom living options and are available to individuals as well as couples. This supportive living option provides a 24-hour licensed practical nurse (LPN) and personal care attendants on-site to provide care where and when you need it most. You can enjoy the privacy of your own room, or the company of others through shared meals, social activities and trips, chapel services and hymn sings.
Your plan of care is designed by an Alberta Health Services Case Coordinator who is also onsite to continue to consult with you, together with the Shepherd’s Care Foundation team, to ensure you receive the best possible care. This is a collaborative effort with the resident, their family, the site supervisor, and the care team. The plan of care is updated regularly based on resident needs and preferences, using a person-centered approach to providing care.
In this setting, all of your meals, snacks, light housekeeping, and other amenities are provided in the monthly rental fee. This is your home, so bring the furniture from home you wish to reflect your own personal style and favourite comforts. Care of the resident is funded by Alberta Health Services who will provide an assessment to determine admission to this program.
“I am here for the seniors. I love them all . . . I make sure and tell them I will always be here for them.” - Shepherd’s Care staff member
