Christian Care at Shepherd's Care
As an integral part of Shepherd's Care Foundation's
Christian identity, the Pastoral Care and Chaplaincy Department extends
unconditional care and support to all residents, families, and staff.
Working with other interdisciplinary team members, the chaplains and
pastors of Shepherd's Care bring love and comfort through visitation to all in
need, with sensitivity to cultural beliefs and traditions. Care and
support in times of crisis is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a
week.
The Pastoral Care and Chaplaincy Department also
helps facilitate Christian worship services in our communities, ensuring all of
our residents who choose, have access to attend these. Working closely
with community churches, they assist in recruiting and training Pastoral
Volunteers for a variety of pastoral tasks as well as helping
to facilitate and lead various educational presentations on a variety of
topics throughout the organization.
