Shepherds Care Foundation maintains the confidentiality and privacy of individuals' personal and health information while collecting, using, and disclosing information, in compliance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, the Health Information Act, and the Personal Information Protection Act.

Shepherd's Care Foundation supports the rights of individuals or their authorized representatives to access and request corrections to their personal and health information, subject to any specific restrictions in the legislation.

Shepherd's Care Foundation will not collect, use, or disclose personal or health information in any manner that is not in accordance with established policies.

Shepherd's Care Foundation may disclose health information on a routine basis to other custodians for approved purposes, as authorized by the Health Information Act.

The Shepherd's Care web site may collect personal information when voluntarily completed for any online application, request form or survey, for donation contact information. Personal information collected for such purposes will not be used for any other purposes.

Any visitor information collected such as the visitor's Internet Protocol address, web browser and pages accessed will be used internally in aggregate form to better serve customers by helping SCF manage and improve the content of the SCF web site and to diagnose technical problems.
