There are 62 Supportive Living (SL-4) units at the Kensington Campus, physically linked to all of the other buildings in this campus of care.  Admission is through an assessment by Alberta Health Services, which funds the health care services provided.  Health services include 24-hour Licensed Practical Nursing, care attendants, on-call RN, and recreation.  Rehabilitation therapy and other health services are coordinated through Alberta Health Services.  In addition to the health services funded through Alberta Health Services, Shepherd’s Care provides pastoral care services to all residents.

Residents pay an accommodation charge which covers room and board (3 meals per day plus snacks),  housekeeping, laundry and building maintenance costs.

All rooms are private, spacious studio accommodations.  A guest room is available for out-of-town visitors, and there is a private bus for resident out trips.  There is a beautifully landscaped, wheelchair-accessible courtyard that is often used for barbeques and family visits.  Building amenities include an auditorium, on-site clinics, outdoor patios, a beauty salon, gift shop and banking.

Groups for the visually impaired and hard of hearing meet regularly to support these residents.

To schedule a tour, please call 780-447-3840.  View the Calendar of Events
