With the support of the community and grants from the government, we at the Shepherd's Care Foundation have been blessed with the opportunity to acquire new facilities and update our existing facilities. As we continue to grow, we look forward to providing outstanding age-in-place care and pastoral services to more low- to middle-income seniors in Alberta.
A few of our more recent projects are as follows:
- Shepherd's Care Greenfield - Shepherd's Care is pleased to be a part of the Greenfield community. We are blessed to have acquired this facility in south Edmonton, and we anticipate providing designated assisted living to 30 residents with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia. Renovations are underway.
- Shepherd's Terrace - 40 new designated assisted living studio apartments are under construction as a four storey addition to the existing Shepherd's Manor building at Kensington Village. Shepherd's Terrace opened in August 2005.
- Shepherd's Cottage - This is a 36-suite cottage-style facility in which we will care for residents with a diagnosis of early to mid-stage dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Each cottage will house nine residents. Shepherd's Cottage at Kensington Village opened in early 2006.
