The Opportunity: Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Advisor will be accountable for the recruitment, policy development, participate in labor relations, and development of an Attendance Management System. This position will manage the postings, and advertising processes for all internal and external employment opportunities. This position will ensure that postings, selections and appointments are compliant with current collective agreements and SCF’s human resources policies and standards. The HR Advisor will be actively involved in tracking grievances and working with Managers to resolve grievances and ensure we are in compliance with the Collective Agreement. The HR Advisor will develop an Attendance Management System, that we can implement in conjunction with the Union. The HR Advisor will deliver off-site presentations at Managers Forum’s as well as help train managers in areas HR related. This position will provide support, advocacy, for our employees and managers in compliance with the Collective Agreements. This will ensure the highest quality of resident focused care achievable within the Mission, Vision and Values of Shepherd’s Care Foundation, and standards of professional nursing practice in a regulatory and legislated environment.
